Hi everyone,
I’m new to this community — I’m an accredited exercise physiologist based in Sydney, working mostly with NDIS participants (including lots of amazing kids with ADHD, ASD, and other neurodiverse needs). I just wanted to say how wonderful it is to see a space like this where parents can share and support each other.
I’ve seen firsthand how simple movement strategies — like bouncing on a mini-trampoline, short bursts of fun circuits, or body-weight play with animal walks — can help some kids regulate their energy and emotions. And sometimes it’s the routine and positive reinforcement that makes all the difference.
I’m here mostly to listen and learn, but if anyone ever wants to chat about physical activity, self-regulation strategies, or navigating allied health through the NDIS, happy to share what I know from my corner of the world.
Thanks for having me!
