Articles like this I completely agree with —- sleep is crucial.
However, I also found them stressful because we did everything these types of articles suggested (well except get the high school to start later)! Sometimes even if you do everything the experts and your doctor say (consistent bedtimes, cool room, no screens an hour before, melatonin, soft music to fall asleep to, sleep test, timing administering adhd meds, etc etc etc) your teen still can’t sleep.
The only thing that helped my teen was the doctor prescribing sleep medication and she became a new child after finally getting enough sleep.
All this to say, once you have exhausted the entire list of things to try, don’t give up!
