I am currently looking for teaching methods to help students with ADD who struggle with reading comprehension / to help students with ADD improve their reading comprehension. What I could find so far is very vague and consist more of a couple of loose tips, which seem to be helping. But I am looking for (whole) teaching methods that are already used in classrooms, preferably in elementary schools.
I would greatly appreciate, if someone could tell me something about these kinds of teaching methods, or where I could find out more about them.

I find with my daughter (8years old) that she can do them in smaller chunks and I’ve negotiated with the teacher that she doesn’t have to write her answers in full sentences (it’s too hard to focus on answering the question and sentence construction!) Hope that helps.
I am homeschooling my six year old, so we use a combination of methods. I can recommend the Five Finger Re-Tell. You can find these charts on Teachers Pay Teachers. Have them narrate back to you, rather than writing or have them draw a picture or several pictures rather than writing sentences.
Dividing it into smaller chunks is really the key. About every three sentences while I'm reading I will ask summary questions and then at the end of two pages I'll ask the test questions. They just can't remember much at one time.
Reading comprehension is complex! It is not just about looking at the words. A number of things involved are: focus impulsive behavior and ability to train your brain to see the words in groups. I strongly encourage you to have your daughter assessed by a professional, either in her school or find a private person. Knowing why she is not comprehending is important, then you can target these aspects. It will also be important ( if if is determined she has an issue) to include this in her 504 plan for all educational material.
You could also find a group of reading specialist and ask them for recommendations.
Reading while listening ( training) can also help a lot she she is using more than one sense.
