Hi there, after researching more into CBD oil, I recently started taking a very small amount of CBD oil and have noticed very positive effects in regards to helping tame some ADHD symptoms. Multiple people have also been asking me about CBD Oil and if it's of any help for those of us with ADHD. So, I decided to make a video detailing the pros and cons of consuming CBD Oil, along with Cannabis, what it does to the brain/neurochemistry, and what it can do to some people's ADHD symptoms. If you're interested, the video is uploaded on my Youtube Channel. Link to my channel is in my bio description on my profile (you can click my pic to get there), video is titled "CBD Oil and Cannabis for Treating ADHD (Pros & Cons)". Hope this helps.

It worked for a little bit with my 6 year old but then stopped. It was miraculous when it worked. I tried it and it made me more anxious.

I see. I take a very miniscule amount from a dropper 2x a day, in order for the effects to work throughought the day. If I take a larger amount I get lethargic and a bit anxious, this might be due to my inattentive adhd. A few others I've spoken to, mentioned the same thing with anxiousness.

Hi Eclecticentric! I am glad you are finding positive results from CBD oil. As an adult, you are certainly free to use anything (safe) that you choose. Keep us advised of your results long term. I am a skeptical about CBD oil only because anecdotally it seems to treat EVERYTING from chronic pain to, in your case, ADHD. It just seems too good to believe at this point. It makes me think of the snake oil vendors in the old days who sold concoctions that they claimed did everything from grow hair to clean your floors. I am glad that an intelligent adult like you who is always trying be helpful is trying it rather than hearing that someone is recommending it for children in lieu of medications. Please let us know how it works for you. I have looked into myself for pain relief, but as noted, I am skeptical. Thanks for your thoughtful posts and for your willingness to share your information so freely. Be careful out there!!

Hi there, thank you for your kind words, and will do. The body contains a large amount of endogenous cannabinoids (endogenous meaning the body makes its own) that are distributed through CB1 and CB2 receptors (CB1 for the brain, and CB2 for parts of the body/immune system). From my research, people with ADHD have gene mutations in multiple neurotransmitter precursors, and also neurotransmitter receptors and receptor sites (Dopamine's 4th receptor for example). There is also an issue with immunity. When some people use CBD oil it puts to use many of these CB1 and CB2 receptors that were not being utilized prior. Essentially perhaps being the reason why it seems to help people with a variety of things. The CBD oil industry has most certainly become saturated due to people/businesses wanting to profit off it (especially due to the popularity), this why I recommend researching companies and their practices before using products. CBD oil alone from my research, is not enough to treat ADHD, since there are still multiple neurotransmitters of major importance that need to be helped out (this is why I also take supplements).
