chrome book with larger screen

JoyousExpectation profile image

With the online COVID learn from home schooling I am finally getting a chance to see my child as she is in school and see what she can and cannot do. I do think that the small size of the chrome book she was issued is a problem. The chrome book is tiny and my daughter needs a larger screen. Does anyone have ideas for a larger sized screen for a chrome book or a larger chrome book for kids with visual and learning challenges?

I know that for our Mac, we bought an external monitor. Same can be used for the Chrome book! Good Luck!

Hi. Not sure how big a screen you want, but you can get a chromebook with a 15.6 inch screen right at Bestbuy and other electronics retailers. They don't fit in a backpack as well as the smaller ones, but maybe she can carry the smaller one and use the larger one at home.

If your child has a 504 educational plan you could work with your school district to provide this. It is my understanding that most school districts want kids on their computers becuase they are able to control things.

Another option is to add an additional large monitor and larger keyboard. Its easy to do. Just also buy a stand so it is eye level for her.

Best of luck.

We ended up buying a larger size laptop for my daughter. It has helped her a lot!

Just wanted to add we bought a USB C to HDMI cord for $13 that hooks a Chromebook to our TV screen. It has been super helpful.

Not sure how old your boys are, but if teens, they probably know how cast to TV from their Chromebooks without the cords. Same end result I guess. Just a bit cooler than all the cords.
