You no what really sucks, you have ADHD and anxiety and doctors give me meds that DONT WORK!!!

Welcome to the group. I am sorry that you are having these struggles. Are you seeing a psychiatrist? They are the most skilled at helping to make to best corrections. Are you also seeing a counselor that can help you deal with this life that is so stressful right now?

It can take time to find the right med or combo of meds. I’ve prolly been on 30 meds in my life, what with being seriously misdiagnosed for years. That said, one med that seems to be especially effective for ADDers with depression/anxiety is Wellbutrin. It is the only thing that has ever worked. I’ve had a few docs confirm this. I took it with a tiny bit if Adderall, until I decided to stop stimulants ( side effects). Now it’s Wellbutrin with Provigil, a non-stim.

Don't ever ask for a medication unless you know the doctor well. You need to see a psychiatrist they prescribe the vast majority of ADHD medication now. They also see you on a regular basis and will feel firm in their decision when the time comes. I had to sign a contract and their is no lost or stolen they won't replace a lost bottle. I'm drug tested as well though a lot of doctors now will let you test positive for Cannabis. That is the way it is now. I called when I was looking for a new psychiatrist and one office said you don't take ADHD medication do you and I'm like um no.... they were like good because we don't prescribe them.
