We just had to switch our 7 year old from Ritalin to yvyanse, he just started it today and seem very withdraw. I normally pray for him to be quiet but I don’t like seeing him like this.

Could you please share your stories on what to expect the first few days he on 30mg

Regards

The first day/week on Vvyanse will be different than after a week. However, unless your son is large, 30 is a high dose to start in my opinion. Mine is 12, weighs around 80 and she is on 20 mg. She's not a zombie at all. Its a stimulant, so your son should be peppy. If you're pediatrician is prescribing, I'd recommend going to a psychiatrist.

Vyvanse made my son over emotional and burst out in tears. But right now he is on Ritalin and it seems to be working. Everybody is different.
