This is a great article and I also strongly feel that public (non- charter) school also have issues with inappropriate suspensions and discipline actions against kids with ADHD. It also is unfair that children with ADHD have to not attend dances and class field trips due to behavior issues. It is clear to me which teacher can deal with issues relating to ADHD and who can not. I really am not sure who in the Special Education department deals with suspensions of children with disabilities. Many times these are not really needed.
I really hope CHADD can help charter school families.
