About my 10 year old son.....

Hello I have a 10 tear old son with adhd and i wanted to learn more aboutcit. Like what are somethings who guts tryed for discipline. And what you guys do for school bc its so hard for him and i have no clue where to start. If you guys know anything or can tell me where to look that would be great thanks in advance.

I use behavior chart and reward system. I also praise often for good behavior. My son has an IEP because he is behind academicly so he receives special services. You could request a 504 plan

Hi there, the first step if you have not already done so, is getting a full evaluation for your son. A psychologist will refer you for services like speech/language therapy, OT/PT, and behavioral therapy. They can discuss medications that may help him focus, be attentive and more compliant at home. They will also work with your son's school in developing an IEP to address his educational needs.

I highly recommend sessions with a behavior therapist. They will help you with appropriate discipline and other behavior strategies you can use at home. It is well worth the time and expense.

There are also many resources available to help you understand your son's condition and be a better parent and advocate for your child.
