To test or not to test

QUESTION: I have a resource where I can take my 20 year old to get "tested". About $500 for the battery of tests/diagnostics. I want to do it to answer my questions and officially decide if my suspicions are correct. (In his youth I never got a "dr." to do a full analysis, just counseling and mostly what I said)

Is it worth it to do at his age?

BBBwith ADD-

Thanks for bringing this to the group I am sure you are not the only one needing the answer to this.

If you child/adult ever needs assistance for accommodations at a school/college this information will help. Or for funding/financial you will need proof of a disability this will help.

This might also help to make a clear picture of what neurologically is happening with him. If I were in your shoes I would, I feel like Knowledge is power. Learning about how he is thinking and the way your mind works helps a lot.

Hope this helps.

If you can afford it, I would go for it. My husband still wonders if he has ADHD. He was not tested as a child, but it had been recommended.

It’s much better to know than to be left with uncertainty!
