Hi. I am from Puerto Rico. My child is 6 years old and almost 5 years old he was diagnosed with ADHD. He also has problems of sensory integration and problems of delay in development. I found this site and decided to join to find more information and share ideas with people who are going through the same situation.

I joined for the same reasons. I’ve felt so alone raising my son. He’s almost 14 now and I really don’t have friends with kids who have so many issues.

It has been really nice to know there are so many of us struggling together! I can tell you this; with age my son has gotten somewhat easier to manage.

He is still difficult but being older has helped because he can talk things out better and understands why he is the way he is.

Thank you very much for your comment. I am happy to arrive at a place where there are so many families that understand what is happening to us. In my country it is a subject that is not talked about much. I've even posted a blog and created groups that talk about it. It has surprised me how many people have connected with me.

Now I enter this group and I see that there are so many more. I have begun to get to this point where I do not feel so alone.

I would like to know what types of tools you have used to help your child. In my child I have noticed over the years improvements.
