My 15 yr old son is on Concerta 37mg Wellbutrin and a low dose of Fluoxetine.
He was doing quite well with the Wellbutrin which was added 2 months ago. Today was very hard as he experienced 2 meltdowns with anger and so much tears!
I’m wondering whether concerta is the problem? From the reading I have done, it sounds like the side effects are unfavourable! My son has been on concerta a few years now.
Hi look out for depression with the Concerta as my 15yr old son got really low and very angry then started self harming which was awful he had no clue y he was feeling so bad, that is when I stopped all prescription meds x
Is he on natural medicine? Or is he taking counselling?
He’s vaping CBD oil which I’ve researched n thought about for a long time, his behaviour was getting out of control this was my last resort he’s actually calmed down no end and asleep b4 3am which is a bonus.
My grandson did well on Focalin XR for years and then suddenly it wouldn't work in Middle School. The doctor switched him to Concerta which caused horribly angry meltdowns, he even broke his door on it. He is now on Wellbutrin and intuniv. The intuniv doesn't always keep his ADHD under complete control but he passed all his classes.
He has a lot of problems with anxiety and depression , the Wellbutrin really helps with that
