Online Parent Training

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has completed ADHD parent training online. I could use some guidance. My son is 5.5 and has ADHD, ODD, anxiety, and some other undiagnosed emotional issues. There aren't any local options for parent training so I thought I'd see if anyone knows of online resources. Thank you!

CHADD has a parent to parent training program. Go to chadd.org for information about it.

Basically, how to parent an ADHD child. How to know what behaviors are caused by ADHD (and how to improve them) and what behaviors are caused by their age and temperament. How to identify co-existing conditions. How to use a positive parenting approach. How to help them develop good habits and avoid bad ones. And how to survive their childhood (last is a joke). Russell Barkley talks about it in his book Taking Charge of ADHD. Also, there is information about parent training at the National Resource Center on ADHD at help4adhd.org (this is supported by our tax dollars and not by drug company money).
