hi I'm Denese,

My mom spelled my name that way because she said I was different. She had no idea! I always knew there was something different about me. t was obvious as a child. I was always in trouble for talking too much and not paying attention. I just could not understand how other children could just sit there hour after hour. As an adult in college, I had to sit for long periods of time and it drove me insane. How do people do it?

Then along came medication. I was able for the first time in my life to become engaged in what the professor was teaching. Who knew they were talking about something interesting all along. It was awesome. "I" could finally "pay attention"! After college I got off of medication and went nuts apparently. I say this because I did nothing to cope with my symptoms. I just kept stumbling along like before as though in denial. That was about four years ago. I've only really been trying to work on my ADHD related issues in the last year or so. I've got a long ways to go. Some days are good some are not.

I must run

Thanks

Denese
