I highly recommend the Parenting with Love and Logic program. Their website is loveandlogic.com. There are facilitators all over the US (see the trainer link under the parents tab) that teach the program, as well as a book and many other resources on their site.

Parenting children with ADHD takes connection and a coaching approach. Consistent positive reinforcement will modify and extinguish behaviors. Natural consequences help but traditional old school punishment doesn't due to structural brain differences, ImpactADHD, CHADD, Attitude, SELPAs and universities offer parent education programs. My heart hurts when I observe parents or teachers who do not understand ADHD. I am a grassroots volunteer advocate for kids with ADHD. I push parent education. A multimodal treatment plan must include it regardless of what other tools are selected,
