New meds
My daughter is doing much better on Vyvanse for concentration and focus. I have to really keep after her to eat because she doesn't feel hungry until about 7pm. When she forgets to eat on the medicine she gets more emotional and a little mean - more crying and more fighting with her sister. What symptom does the ability aadress?
My son took vyvanse. It made him moody and temperamental. He was able to focus better in class, however. Hopefully the side effects won't bother your child. Good luck...
My 7 year old tried Vyvanse. He basically didn't eat for 3 days no matter how much we were on him about it and he's pretty much skin and bones as it is. It also made him temperamental, moody, aggressive, and didn't help any better than Methylphenidate did. We haven't tried Abilify but I know there are others out there.
My grandson got really irritable on Vyvasnse, had to switch to Straterra. But everyone reacts differently to meds.
My son is on by vyvanse 20mg . He is doing great he gets it in the morning with his breakfast . He is eating and sleeping fine . Doing much better in school .
My daughter started taking Vyvanse almost 2 years ago, after she did the "genesight" testing. It tells the doctor which meds would work best for her body and safest for her liver. Anyways, she's been on 40 mg and 5mg of ability for a little over a year now. The only problem we have is not being hungry in the am and lunch but eating lots in the evening. We just make sure that she's got protein (bars, cheesticks) to help her through the day.
