Will my child improve with age and do they "grow out of ADHD"?

It depends really on the child as some people's symptoms get worse as they are but for me personally my hyperactivity has gone down slightly but now my focus is pretty bad.

My daughters psychiatrist advised that it may not get better but as they get older they can select some classes that will interest them so they'll build better alternatives for themselves. Also when they become adults they will choose careers that allow them to be themselves.

I got this advice after crying in his office after the ADHD testing. It's daunting and the thought of her suffering for the rest of her life was overwhelming for me. His logic helped me see a brighter future for her
