I have been living with Adenomyosis pains for over 14years now,but was diagnosed of it after being persistent to go through a surgery to take of the fibroid the scans spotted, with the hope that the pains will be over. However, that was the genesis,I was told that it had been adenomyosis all along after a histology was carried out on the stuff removed from my womb.so I started treatment to curtail pains but all to no avail, such as danazol, herbal medicines, contraceptive pills. However,Zoladex gave me relief, but increase my blood pressure, and I also experienced some other side effects from it such as depression,so I had to discontinue. Meanwhile,I am at the verge of having a hesterectomy just to end this pains, which to have testimonials from a 5 years post hesterectomy case due to adenomyosis. I need help please

Hi EDan,
I just stumbled across your post. I hope you managed to get sorted out in what ever you decided.
I had an operation last week - total hysterectomy and removal of endometriosis and fibroids. I was initially diagnosed with advanced adenomyosis about five years ago and with endometriosis three years ago. They managed to do a mini laparotomy and a lap. I suffered with excessive bleeding and abdominal pain for many years and I was on the waiting list for elective surgery since Autumn 2020. It all feels rather surreal and my head is trying to catch up.
Xx
