Does anyone have any tips for masking the awful metallic taste some people suffer from?

i have a salty taste, had it for almost 2 years now, drives me mad. My consultant thought my saliva was a poor quality and quantity. I started taking Omega 7 on the advice of a pharaceutical friend and it helped dilute it. Apparently Omega 7 is good for dry eyes and mouths. Other than that i chew gum a lot.
