i everyone. Nice to meet you all.

I have just been through having pre cancerous cells myself from my cervix, various ultrasounds and tests for my dad's liver to see if he had cancer and now my mums been having constant excruciating headaches, ear pain and hearing loss. She went to the GP a couple of weeks ago and he gave her antibiotics suspecting a ear infection, well the antibiotics didn't work and she went back 2 days ago, they have looked again in her ear and he said he could see some sort of bulge. He doesn't know what it is so he has referred her to a head and neck specialist team & a leaflet on about the pathway to cancer leaflet. Needles to say her my dad and me are pretty concerned. The GP has given her codeine for pain relief for now but the headache is there constantly. Please can anyone shed some light on this? I really can't deal with much more myself. Thanks for listening I really appreciate it.

Bless you all.

omg Beth

Your year sounds as awful as mine .

I’m luckilypost op though now after surgery on my AN

Not all been removed though so still suffering some horrid pain .

Pills don’t always work as we’d like them to do and can confuse your body .

Try and keep strong and on good days do things that make you happy . Hope mum gets some results real soon . Good luck

Hi sweetheart. I'm so sorry for your terrible year also. Honestly life is sooo testing at the moment. Can I ask what your symptoms were and are they going to be removing the rest of yours? Healing love and light been sent to you 💗🌹

A huge (virtual) hug for you first and all you are/have been going through. I hope things are ok with “you” & the further tests/results were ok & guess for your fathers results too. Look after yourself & do chase Drs/ consultants if you need further info. Etc

It’s easy to forget yourself while worrying about your parents. And I feel it’s a bit of escapism in a way from having to worry about yourself. I’ve done it too. But please see that all your stuff is covered too. Like they say (on planes) check your oxygen mask is on before putting it on others. Only if you are fully ok can you truly help others.

With your mom, if the referral to head & neck or is it ENT (ear nose throat?) consultant hasn’t come thru’ from GP - contact the GP again & push them to send it as an urgent.Maybe even ask for a MRI reference so it can be checked in parallel. V odd they gave codeine for the pain & not steroid to reduce any inflammation itself. Maybe ask them if anything else would help like steroids?

It maybe v obviously a Phys thing which is why they have said that. You did say they can see a bulge. & don’t worry, one can have cysts growing that aren’t tumerous/cancerous so (God willing) it maybe ok. Ask your mom if she had a shower/bath just days before the pain started & she May have cleaned her ears with a cotton bud etc? At times that could have caused an injury & made it later become a cyst etc. ... so basically saying stay positive it maynot be that bad.

We will be praying for all of you. Take care & keep us updated.

(Apologies if anything above hurts/bugs you, not trying to cause that & just trying to help as much as I can from what I know & my own experiences/knowledge. ) TC
