I had surgery at Mass General in Boston on June 12th. I am still suffering from headaches and dizziness plus neck stiffness. I have had physical therapy, vestibular therapy, and now occupational therapy, still not seeming to help.
I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problems or symptoms after having AN surgery.

Hi, Maybe ask them to have a look at the level of fluid (CSF). It could be a sort of hydrocephalis as a reaction to the surgery. They can put a shunt in to drain any excess. Hope this helps, just want to put forward ideas not to diagnose. My wife had this problem after gamma knife on her AN.
Hi...I’m almost four months post op..headaches are the same as what I had pre op..I think tiredness brings them on a little faster though now. I’m not dizzy as such, but my as my left balance nerve was cut, so I’m relying on my right balance nerve totally now. I’m unsteady still and my peripheral vision is tough. It takes a lot of concentration to walk. I haven’t had any therapy. Can’t say I’m happy totally as I wobble around, as my terrible balance is still the same as it was pre-op. According it takes a lot of time, and some people never get it totally back to normal. I don’t have any neck stiffness.
I experience the headaches but not the dizziness and no stiffness of my neck. However, I do experience a salty weird taste in my mouth, and the headaches and of course tinnitus in my right ear where I am completely deaf. My surgery was on 20 May 2020, in Dayton, Ohio.
