I've been unwell for two months now, I've been to the hospital about 4 times, they Say I've been surffing from a viral infection, bit surely it wouldn't go on for two months? I've developed symptoms of a chronic sinus infection, I've got constant pressure in my head, front and back. the doctor said I've also got a middle ear infection because she can see fluid in both ears, I've got constant ringing noises in my ears that drives me crazy! I sometimes have to put tissue in my ears just to drown at the high pitched tones, I'm also having pain in my neck and back, also in my chest! I've always got drainage down the back of my throat and i have trouble swallowing and moving my jaw with also pain. My blood test results so that i've got a low white count and a vitamin d deficiency. I'm feel so dizzy and sick too. I'm very worried about it because I have symptoms of so many horrible things such as different cancers. I feel as though I aren't getting the right help from the doctors, please sure any helpful information, i'm thinking of going for an MRI, would it be worth it in this case? As my migraines are quite bad, thank you!

Sorry to hear you're suffering such horrible symptoms for so many weeks. I can't give you any medical advice, but would say try not to worry about what it COULD be. Perhaps look into mindfulness and relaxation exercises - they've helped me a lot in relaxing with things going on in my life. Eating well - plenty of protein, fruit and veg, adn getting plenty of sleep will help fight off infection. Ask your GP for a second opinion if you don't feel you're being listened to. All the best for a happier, healthier 2018. Look after yourself. xx

Hi so many different things it could be with multi symptoms. Ask for a scan as it may be an infection and could put your mind at try not to let your imagination run wild. All the best x

Hello, it must be awful having so many symptoms. I can't give any medical advice, but my experience of an AN had no back, neck or chest pains, or difficulty with swallowing. If your doctor thinks it's sinus infection, maybe it is, and it's taking a long time to clear because you're feeling stressed. I think if the GP was worried about something other than an infection, s/he would consider a scan? Perhaps you could suggest it?

Best of luck, and I totally agree with Njd59's suggestion for mindfulness and meditation-type exercises, they helped me enormously.

Hi, thank you for replying and I'm sorry to hear about your AN. It's hard to say what a going on at the moment because each doctor say different things. The tinnitus and pain in my ears are quite bad (left on is wore) and i' m struggling to move my neck. I'm wondering before you got diagnosed with your AN did any doctors see anything in your ears like fluid or pressure? Xx

I also forgot to mention I've developed a very strange shaking, if I move my arms or legs my neck and back will shake, very odd. Is this something you experienced? X

I had another medical problem which was dealt with before I could identify that I had a 2nd problem. Deafness and loss of balance was quite bad by then I was referred to a doctor who dealt with ear problems who sent me for a MIR scan. This told him what the problem was. I hope this is helpful. My sympathies go out to you and I wish you well.

If you are not deaf in one ear and have balance problems then you probably do not have an acoustic neuroma.

No but I have been having tinnitus and problems with my balance/dizzness Because of this, a doctor has referred me to a ENT.

Good, but get a contrast MRI asap. If you have not lost hearing yet, it can be an acoustic neuroma, which can be dealt with in time. If it is a vestibular schwannoma it will grow and cut off the blood supply and 8th cranial nerve to one of your ears and cause deafness and severe balance problems; it will not go away and needs immediate attention.

I was at your stage and in less than a month I lost my left ear hearing and balance when my vestibular schwannoma grew to 15 mm. I had Gamma-Knife Surgery in 2001, which only took 18 minutes in the morning and I was home changing a tire that afternoon; I was not interested in a debilitating recovery from knife surgery. Please look into this now before it is too late. I wish I had that chance 17 years ago.

Hi I will request an mri, this has made made nervous now. The doctor has looked into ears and he said he can see it's Eustachian tube dysfunction. I'm just wondering when you had your ears checked was anything visible that the doctors could see?

I've had blood tests done and it's coming back that i've got a very low white blood count and a vitamin d deficiency, I'm just worried that there's chance I would lose my hearing

With all of your systems it sounds like your immune system is out of wack. Try taking elderberry extract with echinacea. If it helps great; if not at least you know that your immune system is OK. Also, make sure that you don't have a yeast infestation problem, which would also cause those symptoms. Also make sure that you are not suffering from dehydration by drinking 2-3 liters of fluids/day.
