I'm really hoping someone can help. From 2015 I was experiencing absolutely awful headaches, on the left side of my head, ears, temple. It was like electric shocks going through my whole head. I was referred to ENT in 2017 where I was then sent for an MRI. An incidentel find if an acoustic neuroma but on the right side. I have been told this is not the cause of my headache. I am still suffering badly. Has anyone else experienced this. Who else can I see. I also suffer from ear ache very often but my ears are fine apparently so. Constant head pain, need help ASAP.
Thank you for any one that reply x

This may be a long shot, but have you ever had TMJ pain that you are aware of? Maybe you bit down on something hard in 2015 or hit your head or are allergic to new foods. If TMJ pain, massage the pain by pressing your fingers against your jaw joints going from the top of your ears to the bottom of your jaw; do this about 10 times.
It might also be (another long shot) pain in your skull caused by muscles in your neck (most likely the right muscles) that are locking up your skull bones. If so, you need to massage them in the same way as the TMJ. Have you ever had a professional massage? If not have them concentrate on your neck and shoulders.
I have had your symptoms in the past and resolved them in this manner.
Hello! I too have had electric shock sensations and awful headaches on the left side of my head. Its like an electric ice pic is stabbing me in the head. Mine actually started when I was weaning off the anti depressant Lexapro about 5 years ago. I have been completely off the medication for 4 years yet still get them once in awhile... they have however gotten less intense and fewer. I found that COQ10 helps. I saw several doctors and neurologists have had 3 MRI's etc. and they all told me it was from SSRI discontinuation syndrome. My AN was diagnosed just a couple month ago - and I have seen several of the countries leading doctors in this field and they all say that the "brain zaps" have nothing to do with the AN. I am very curious if you too get off of any meds that could have caused this.
