you are so right! It's always about materialistic things. Where you are in life, what car you drive, where your kids go to college, or how many vacation's you take. It's never about you as an individual. It's so sad that we don't take the time to actually listen, really listen to people. I agree 💯.

Nobody wants to hear that you're doing poorly, so they don't ask. Easier to see if you got a new car lately.

People in distress make people uncomfortable.

Or, they're just using stupid cliche greetings. "How are you doing?" I ask if they really want to know of if they're just asking due to social conditioning.
