Cheltenham Tinnitus Information Day

Recently been to the information day in Cheltenham. I think it was well organized and as far as I could tell everything ran to time. The 2 speakers were accessible and informative and it made sense to keep the question and answer session until the end of the day. The taster sessions on mindfulness, yoga and tai chi helped break the day up. The biggest positive I took from the day came from the talk on CBT about enjoying the small successes. I think that's something we can all indulge in and build on.

If anyone reading this hasn't been to one of these events, I recommend you go. You might learn something or pick up some advice or think about trying a different approach. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Respectfully submitted,

Keoni

I completely agree with you Keoni, I went to a BTA information day about 16 months ago and can recommend other folk attend one if possible.

Hi Keoni

I'm glad that you found the day helpful, and I'll pass your feedback (anonymously) onto the team, as I'm sure that they will be pleased to hear it too.

Best wishes

Nic

Hi Keoni,

I'm the organiser of the Information Days and the fact you've taken the time to give this feedback is really appreciated! We work really hard to put the Information Days on and it takes a lot to pull everything together so to hear they're well received and of value makes it all worthwhile.

We're working to win further funding to keep putting them on but unfortunately there aren't any other Information Days planned at the moment.

There is the Birmingham Expo coming up in September which is along the lines of an Information Day but on a much bigger scale with a drop in/out format that means you can pick your own mix of talks, tasters, info sessions and exhibitors at your own pace.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore ways to help manage their tinnitus. tinnitus.org.uk/talkingtinn...
