The effects of the pill vary from person to person. Some come off it no problems, some have long lasting side effects. In America, they're gradually recognising the effects it has on some people, and you'll find a few practitioners talking about something called "post birth control syndrome". Have a read into it to get tips on getting back to normal.
PLEASE go slowly and carefully with your doc. I was on Lexapro for a long time. When I came off it 2 years ago, it was horrible. Then severe depression came back. I had to go back to another SSRI😰
