Over active bladder
Hello.
My mum was diagnosed with his a couple of months ago either this.
She is on oxybuturin BUT she found the biggest help was to cut caffeine out in her tea and coffee. She drinks a load of tea, weak and black and has switched to decaf. Same with her coffee. She didn't think it would help but it did...A Lot.
Best wishes 💗
Thanks for this helpful reply, I love my coffee strong but only at most 3 cups daily. Don't really like tea so that's no prob. I have also found that fruit juice is a no- no. I'm going to try decaf . coffee probably just a question of getting used to it!! Hope I have good results like your Mum and that I can persevere. Have tried before but gave up because of the headaches from withdrawal, I'm told that these only temporary, also that I'll sleep better with no caffeine, so what's to lose? wish me luck
Yes, mum always drank barista made coffee. She switched to decaf, she says it's ok and has made a big difference to her bladder.
Thanks again encouraging - definitely worth a try! Did your mum have the awful headaches when she stopped "proper" coffee?
She hasn't mention she did. She had a couple of lattes or cappuccinos about 4-5 times a week. Usually every day except weds.
In have purchased some decaf, had this morn. - can't say it cuts the mustard! but I didn't want more than one cup so that may help too. Also I will probably have a cappuccino when meeting friends....and I expect will be tempted to the occasional hot chocolate
Just got instant first (chearp0 will give it time to work - or not!- will let you know. better than try even herbals and homeopathic as apart from hitting on right one, costs a lot. Really should consult herbalist etc. but again no guarantee and lot of money. Think I'll follow your sensible advice instead
