Do we need to count calories?

I know checking calories on foods is important for making better choices, but is counting calories the best way to lose weight? I tried, but I find difficult and boring :(

Anyone?

The best way to reduce weight stop eating dinner and take only the fruits & fried or cooked green vegetables etc.Don't eat Chapati/Roti/Rice in the night.
