is bodyweight training legitimate?

hey guys . i only recently started getting into the idea of weight training after losing a relatively big amount of weight(35 pounds).Currently, I wanted to get my body all firm and toned up. however, at the moment, i don't have access to a gym and running a little short on cash, making equipment expensive. Among one of my end goals is a bigger booty. so i have to ask, can i legitimately build a bigger and more shapely butt with just body weight exercises ? if so , what type and how long would it take ?

ooh and btw, i'm really glad to be a part of this community . hope we can find ways to BUILD each other. (pun intended)

Yes. You can do bodyweight or weighted (grab a water bottle) squats and lunges.
