Hope you enjoyed that jog, and hope your mind is still intact! Hopefully your exercise and positive attitude will help shift the stuck weight.

Hi jacqui02,

Everyone's weight loss journey has blips, stalls and spurts. Just keep focused on the goals and stick with doing the right things and not giving way to the old - though familiar and kind of comfortable - ways which led you to being overweight in the first place.

Remember, the trend is for overweight people to get weightier. That's because the body adapts to being overweight and changes the way your body produces hormones that result in overweight people feeling hungrier more quickly after they have eaten and being less likely to feel full. A lot of overweight people also tend to eat too fast, so their body doesn't get a chance to register being full before they have finished their meals.

As you lose weight your body will adapt back to being a more normal weight and you'll come to realise that you were being had!

So, if you're not gaining - that really IS good and it means that you are bucking the old ways and bringing about change.
