I am 65 yrs old.Ht 169cm.Wt 76kg.My BMI is 26.26.How many kg should I lose to stay healthy?

Hi hamani,

That - to quite some degree is up to you.

Use the BMI calculator on the NHS live well lose weight pages - that seems to be properly gender and age biased.

The "normal" range is a BMI betwee 18.5 and 25, which is quite a lot of variance. So you really have to make a decision as to how much weight you want to lose.

Personally, in this journey I'm heading for the "normal" band, i.e. just below BMI of 25.
