At the end of my tether
Hi and welcome, TracyCl
I've just welcomed another person with hypothyroidism, so here's the link to their post, as the same advice applies to you healthunlocked.com/weight-l...
Here's a link to our pinned posts to get you started healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I wish you all the best of luck
Hi singlechip thankyou for the feed back,I'm.on levothyroxine 50mg and recently had bloods and doctor told me all.levels were fine, were or how can I get T3 I'm also on hrt ...hate being.overweight x
50mcg of levo is a starter dose and should have been titrated every 6 - 8 weeks weeks, until your symptoms receded. GP's are not very good at dealing with hypothyroidism, so I urge you to take advice from the members on the TUK forum who are far more knowledgeable. Never take any notice of a doctor saying your levels are fine, because that just means they fall somewhere within a range that has nothing to do with where you sit within that range. Eg, shoes come in a range of sizes, but if you're a size 8 and someone is trying to tell you that a size 4 is 'fine' for you, they would be very wrong.
You won't know if you need T3 until you know how well you convert the correct dose of T4.
