Is that the very low calorie diet, mozlaw? How long do you stay on it?

You'd be welcome to use the daily diary and join in the food chat there

800 calories for 8 or 12 weeks comprising three replacement meals and a dish of non starchy vegetables .The aim is to lose 15kg orless if you are not hugely overweight and therefore get rid of diabetes .

I've seen it has good reviews, and it seems to be working for you. I'll be interested in what happens after that initial period, what advice and support you get on moving forward

i often replace the shakes with a variety of food with about the same number of calories.but sticking to shakes is best .professor taylors book living with diabetes gives a load of recipes from people who have put diabetes into rmissio but use these to keep the weight off

Great that you are sticking to this but please don't starve yourself . It will motivate you if the weight drops off but I wonder how you maintain the weight you have lost once you increase the cals or tweak the food intake . I realise you acknowledge you can't sustain this forever but sometimes weight loss can be so slow many give up .

Best of luck on your journey and please let us know how you continue .

Apologies if I sounded harsh . I lost more weight on a 1400 cal meal plan than one where I was advised by tapping my details into MFP to have max 1250. I was also exercising more at the time but didn’t get the benefits of a 1250 regime. You seem to have your plans really well researched and worked out . We are all different and if this works for you then - fantastic. You have determination which many can’t stick to

no offence taken at all .gradually leave out one liquid meal after two weeks then another with real food of approx 250 cals etc .whatever suits you thanks for your interest
