No scales

I have no scales to weigh in. But I am starting a healthier eating and exercise regime as from tomorrow. I have also signed up to a charity fitness challenge for 30 days and am aiming to walk the LEJOG (virtually of course) which is a challenge over the year. I was wondering do I have to weigh each week or is there an area for those to post for support with no scales? I have gained a lot of weight with working from home and deliberately staying in to avoid being in public. My walks will be individual, so this really is the only place I will get support. Any advice welcome :)

Hello and welcome back, maddun :)

We have weekly weigh-ins for each day of the week but you would be very welcome to join one and post about whatever you're using to measure your progress - inches, clothes fitting, feeling more comfortable, whatever you wish.

There are also plenty of other activities you can join so you get to know people and feel part of the community. Try the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans, and Fit is Fun, where you can let people know about your fitness challenge. You'll find everything you need in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l...

Get involved as much as you can to make the most of your time here :)

Good luck with it all, no advice for the scales thing though.

Welcome maddunn :)

Plenty of great advice from BridgeGirl, in fact I'm just off to post my menu today in the Daily Diary. Being active each day really does help with focus and provides support on those off days, which are bound to happen.

Instead of scales, you could take tape measurements of various parts of your body. Now's also a good time to take a photo to compare with in the future :)

Best of luck!

Ahh thank you all for the support. Yes, I'm very much a menu builder and stick to buying only what I need. Daily exercise am a bit gutted at the minute working from home not helping the cause as I usually have a two and half mile walk to work. I think that's been the biggest issue my daily five mile walk is cut out and the weight has crept up.
