Does anyone test their Blood Sugar, I bought a machine last week and have ranged from 4.3 to 5.7 which I understand is within the normal range however, I did it this morning without having eaten or drank and it was 2.2 - even allowing for a margin of error this seems low. I don't really know anything about Blood Sugar so any guidance will be most welcome. Thanks

Since I've been Type 2 diabetic for a lot of years then I have tested my BG (I prefer Blood Glucose rather than Sugar) plenty of times. Most of your measurements are fine but that 2.2 is very low. The normal minimum for non-diabetics is 3.1. Lower than that would suggest a hypoglycemic event. It may be worth talking to your doctor particularly if it happens often. But if you don't have any other symptoms like being dizzy, shaky or sweaty it's probably not a big deal, specially if it goes back to normal after breakfast.
But perhaps the first thing is to check if you're doing the readings correctly. It doesn't take a lot to confuse some meters and some need calibrating in specific ways.
