We've gone off sugar!

I took my son to the cinema today so I bought us both a small cup of pick and mix each. To my astonishment, my son didn't even finish his and we both felt awful after eating so much sugar ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿคข I didn't even enjoy eating my sweets and I used to love the things!

I was literally craving a salad for my dinner!

I'm so happy I think I've been put off for life ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I didn't even realise that the cinema's had re opened! So next time you go, you won't be buying sweets, that's great :) Last time I went, I took a pot of small cubes of cheese and a few almonds mixed in a tiny tupperware :)

Yeah, they've been open a little while now but quite quiet.

Thanks for the inspiration! I always feel bad for not purchasing food there so might just get a small popcorn to share and a bottle of water.

Donโ€™t feel bad! They make enough profit ๐Ÿ˜Š. Seriously, I stopped eating watching TV as it was too easy to eat โ€˜mindlesslyโ€™ and then realised I didnโ€™t want to eat watching a film either. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

But well done on the loss of your sweet tooth! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

That's true..

Interesting. I don't watch TV or films at home so I like to enjoy the full experience when I go. Thanks for the link and thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

Isnโ€™t it great when you want to treat yourself with a salad? ๐Ÿ˜Š I remember it was my birthday and I decided to treat myself and get whatever I really fancy. I scanned all the shelves, looked at all the cakes, biscuits, ice creams, chocolates and eventually went back home with a pot of natural yoghurt and some berries ๐Ÿ˜‚

Haha ๐Ÿ˜

Lol ๐Ÿ˜† It's great when you lose the cravings for unhealthy stuff and just don't fancy it anymore ๐Ÿ˜„

Berries really are just so satisfying ๐Ÿ˜

I ate chopped strawberries in Greek yogurt at the weekend, I'm still dreaming of them

๐Ÿ˜Š I honestly look forward to my porridge and berries in the morning sometimes. Things really do change for the better with time

If you eat porridge, I hope you buy a large bag of oats, not the sachets or boxes.

I get the Kavanagh's from Aldi's ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜€

If you're trying to reduce carbs? I substitute most of the oats in my "porridge" with coconut flour, chia and milled flax/linseed

I'm personally alright with things like oats, potatoes etc.

That does sound delicious as an alternative though :)

I had to get rid of bread, rice, potatoes, oats to get over my sugar cravings. I hadn't realised how much sugar equivalent was in them.

I'm glad you got there too :)

It doesn't spike blood sugars in quite the same way as free sugars but ๐Ÿคซ I don't want to attract a controversy๐Ÿค๐Ÿ˜€

Well done ๐Ÿ˜Š itโ€™s so liberating to know that sugar doesnโ€™t have that same hold over you that it used to ๐Ÿ‘

I've got a couple of small independent cinemas near me and I usually buy something but the big chains make enough money already. Getting control over sugar is such a big deal - well done!

Great news. We don't need snacks while watching movies anyway.

So proud to see your son is following your path.

That's true. The option to have nothing is always there.

Thanks. I think when we treat our bodies right they repay us :)

Itโ€™s amazing how tastebuds change isnโ€™t it? I was a crispaholic but have had one tiny bag in six weeks. I used to eat them every day!
