Day 1

Okay so I’ve measured myself, done a good healthy shop, meal planned and am tracking food. Went past the local running track with my 12 year old daughter and she’s going to start running to get fitter for her netball comp. now the hard part: I need t keep a person diary to work through emotion instead of stuffing my face with a family block of chocolate.

I’ve been thinking about how sad I’ll be to not be able to wear my big clothes - I know silly right? But some are gorg. Thinking about finding a partner again and how confident I’ll be. Will commit to doing 12 weeks of NHS.

You're sounding positive, Aqua27 :)

Have you had time to read the links you were given yesterday? I see you got some great replies: did you find them helpful? healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh....

I would recommend joining a weekly weigh-in on the day of your choice, and using the Daily Diary to help with your meal planning. I found them a great support.

I also recommend you take the advice given about locking your posts, for privacy and security

Lots of positive things happening Aqua... great going!

What's Happening is like a personal diary (apart from not being personal :) ). It's a good place to off-load, talk things out, just chat away in general. This is today's one...

In my experience I have to lose a heck of a lot of weight before my clothes are too big to wear ! You can enjoy wearing them still for a while yet! :-) x

Hi Aqua27, Well done! You are already half the way there - your mind set is right. The 12 week planner is great. It helps you keep an eye on what you are eating and keeps you focused on making sure that you don't sit around too much. Don't think about your old clothes - focus on all the beautiful new things waiting out there for you. Your daughter will help keep you in line. Keep in touch and let us know how its going.

Good on yer Aqua! As said you could do with a weigh in day, not because the numbers on the scales are all important, you can lose fat and gain muscle scales don't tell you that! But because, whatever day you choose to weigh in, there will be a smaller group ready to support and cheer you on. Plus it helps you to remember to pop in here at least one day a week.

I am on the Thursday thinners team, would be great to have you on board.

on the weigh in teams you meet people doing all different 'diets' I am LCHF and Fasting myself, so get to talk to people using other ways to reach the goal. I would love to follow someone on the NHS 12 weeks to see how it works. Rock on. 👍
