Hi and welcome, Sundaywalke :)

The short answer to that, is no! Most of us are done with dieting and are now embarking on healthier lifestyles, although how we do that, varies from person to person. If you follow the link below, you'll see how the NHS 12 week plan advises going about it :)

To make navigating the forum easier, we've put all the information you'll need in a newbie pack and here's the link

Please take the time to read it carefully, so that you're able to enjoy everything that we have on offer.

We ask that you also read this important information about internet privacy and security, especially as you've left your post unlocked.

Wishing you all the best :)

Hi Sundaywalke!

I am just starting. I tried last week just to write my food down. But it was an epic fail. I think writing it down after is no good for me. I just stress. I thought if I got in front and made a plan then I know what I am going to eat and won’t feel the stress and not just start binging. I have looked at the 12 week plan but am not really sure how to make it work. I think I need to eat breakfast early so I start out well. I like the idea of protein snacks. I find I get quite low in the middle of the afternoon. I am hoping to learn from everyone’s suggestions.

Hi TheDi Welcome, I see you don't have a badge by your name, follow the link in our wonderful volunteer admins post above to the Newbie thread and introduce yourself. Have you had a look at our daily diary where we publish our days planned food. I find it really helps and there are lots of great ideas there. Good luck on your journey.

Hi and welcome, TheDi :)

As Barcud has suggested, the Daily Diary is the best place for you to get ideas about menu planning and meals.

Just follow the links I've given Sundaywalke and enjoy exploring the forum.

Onwards and downwards! :)

Hello and welcome, my instant reaction on reading your post was the same as moreless, no, no diet for me, just healthy eating and being in control of what I eat. Since starting out I've had a revelation .....I have not been hungry and have lost 16kg (2.5 stone) in 3 months which is probably a bit on the fast side and I am expecting a slow down any week now! So explore the site, look at the NHS 12 week plan, join in on the daily diary and see what others do. Find what suits you. Good luck and I look forward to seeing you around and following your progress!

Hi, Sundaywalke , WelcomeThe hardest thing about losing weight is keeping it off, so it helps to lose weight the same way you intend to keep it off... a lifetime healthy eating lifestyle... then, when you get to your target weight, all that changes is that your target weight is the same every week!
