Never been happier with my weigh loss - over 16kg since January . I exercise and follow sensible eating . I am fitter, healthier and clothes look better too . Now for the moan . Aged 58 my skin isn't like it was when I was younger . My arms are slimmer but my bingo wings are flabby and the tops of my legs ....yes slimmer but look sort of creased . My son told me to look at water diets that are supposed to burn off excess fat - dangerous ? - not sure . Would weight training help as I can see an instructor in the gym but thought I would ask my go to support on here first .

Good morning focused,

I wish I knew the answer to that one, but I am afraid I don't. I know that if you Google 'bingo wings' you will find lots of information or there are exercises that you can do at home on youtube - how successful they will be I really don't know.

I am hoping there is somebody on the forum that will be able to come along and give you some sound advice.

Well done on your weight loss, it is frustrating to be left with loose skin, but it is healthier than carrying that extra weight, maybe not much of a consolation though :)

I am part of the NHS paris rehab scheme . I have just phoned and got 1 to 1 session with an instructor at the gym in early August . Will post on here what was advised after chat .

That is good news focused, we will be interested to hear the advice given :)

Sorry, I should have asked you if you meant to leave your post unlocked - I see BridgeGirl has - if you did that's fine - we are just making sure that people are aware that unlocked posts are searchable on Google and can be seen on Facebook and Twitter.

Good luck with your 1 to 1 sessions :)

Hi, you can find previous posts on this in Related Posts, which I can see on my laptop to the right of yours. You could also use Search Weight Loss, top right of my screen, put in loose skin and you'll see previous posts.

Did you mean to leave your post unlocked?

Don't mind post being unlocked as this must be a common problem .

Apart from regular moisturising I don’t think there is much you can do I’m afraid 😕. But take heart from knowing how much fitter and healthier you are

I always wondered what would happen if I lost a lot of weight what would I do with the extra skin. I will also have to look that up. I don't have that problem....yet. I will one day I know so I am curious too. I know if you lose very fast it is worse but that is just what I heard. too bad skin is not as good at shrinking as it is at stretching!

focused1 Congratulations on aquiring flabby skin! When I get to that stage I'm going to look upon it as a badge of honour! However I will also do anything to minimise the effect and googled excercises for bingo wings, there are some good ones on you tube. I found myself lifting my 3 month old Grand-daughter up and down while chanting 'there go the bingo wings' She thought it was very funny! Will be very interested to hear what information you get in your 1:1 session.

Thanks Barcud . Don't see my arms as a badge of honour and being a shorty - 5ft 1 I feel I don't have that height to hide them . I too will be interested to listen to the info and exercises I get 1 to 1 and will report back . My son who sees himself as a Gracie MA expert (ha ) says I would be better water fasting but working 10 hr shifts at a nursery , then at least 3 zumbas per week = not for me ! I will have to air with caution too as not bothered about my age more so the surgery for hiatus hernia I had in January and my promised appointment with surgeon for May isn't until 2 weeks after gym consultation . Will feedback here afterwards and see what the session brings.
