The cravings are kicking in dammit. Although I worked from 10.40am till 12.40pm today, had lunch then went out, I've been like a ravenous beast today. Luckily too busy out and about to give in.
But I made the foolhardy move of walking down the nuts, crisps and pork scratchings aisle (although I didn't buy anything). Was in another supermarket only to find out they have a big section with my fave brand of doughnut - but I sailed straight past as they didn't have the one I usual buy so thankfully that temptation was out of the way.
But I drove home and just happened to pass a well known chicken and burger take away which are side by side. I've been fantasising about naughty food and carbs all day but at least I've been walking about.
These are the days that I find hard. Have been so good up till now. I'm sitting here with a small bag of crisps (from a multipack) and a chocolate brownie BUT I had a healthy brekkie and lunch and am still gonna have a healthy dinner. Definitely not gonna blow it in the most spectacular fashion like I normally do if I have a naughty treat.
Let's hope the beast goes back into its cave tomorrow....

Well done for fighting Mr Temptation, it's much harder than it sounds isn't it? I'm trying to avoid going to the shops where I normally buy my comfort foods. That tactic appears to be working
Indeed let's hope you stop having naughty thoughs as they say if you keep walking into a barbers your eventually going to get your hair cut so avoiding those sort of naughty places like kebab shops and fast food restaurants is my advice.
When it comes to shopping maybe trying to ignore the places where they sell them in the store.
I have to deal with so many people bringing in cakes to work and I look at em and think I could enough two cucumbers instead of 1 doughnut.
I really hope all is well as the activeness of exercise and generally getting out and about drives you through to continue your weight loss journey.
For me I haven't had any serious walks or exercises in 3 days now and I am getting a itch to start power walking or cycling again.
Well done for passing all the temptations in the supermarkets and takaways today, that takes good willpower so your getting there.
You have done so well with your healthy Breakfast and lunch. Try just to keep healthy snacks in the house if you can like fruit and nuts. If I want something sweet I have so small pots of sugar free jelly in the fridge at 9 cals a pot. Draw a line under the crisps and brownie and have your healthy dinner now to fill you up.
Sending you a flaming torch and sharp spear to drive that beast back into the cave! I was just the same on Monday and was back to normal on Tuesday, but happy that I resisted. I don't know why, but some days are just like that. Good luck. James
yep you're right, some days you just feel like you should be locked up and the rest of the week is fine. Thanks for the weapons, I'll drive the beast back to where it belongs LOL xxx
Well I'm gonna prepare dinner now before I cave in and go round the corner for nuts and snacks - and then I'd just feel bad. Sometimes we have days like these.
I'm gonna make chicken new yorker (chicken breast wrapped in a slice of bacon, small amount of BBQ and a very light sprinkling of grated cheese), home made potato wedges and a side of stirfry veg.
Then preparing a lasagne for tomorrow and will only eat one portion and not seconds.
I do a lot of my food shopping online these days and I've signed up to organic veg box deliveries. So many temptations on display at the supermarket that I try to avoid going. I really enjoy eating healthy food so it annoys me that I'm still tempted by unhealthy things 😕
