My favorite evening meal is pasta. I try to keep it to only twice a week and always with tomato sauce rather than rich sauces. I find it's the best thing to eat late in the day, as it makes me feel calm and helps me sleep. Is carbs at night really as bad as people say?

Pasta at night
As part of a sensible controlled eating plan I'd be happy to eat pasta at night. There's a few countries where that would be the norm for some people.
Have you managed to deal with the cold?
Carbohydrates seem to be a very controversial issue at the moment, but personally, I don’t have a problem with pasta as long as I control the portion size as Tiggerr suggests.

I have pasta for dinner still but try not to have it as often e.g. twice a week rather than everyday. Or I mix and match it with different recipes so there's less pasta on my plate and more of other things instead. Don't forget lasagne too - I just cook lots of vegetables in tomato sauce and layer it up with lasagna sheets - you end up having a lot less pasta per portion It's always better to make changes gradually and see what works for you.
I find pasta leaves me feeling a bit bloated and lethargic so I don't eat so much of it now and I tend to eat it in the evening when I know I just want to chill out.
I love just mixing pesto, garlic and chopped tomatoes through my pasta. Not to everyone's taste but I like it.
