Getting out there

Although it's feeling a little cooler in the U.K. I'm making sure my waterproof clothes are on hand so I can still get out there and stay active. The importance of planning so I'm not tempted with excuses of 'it's too cold' or 'it's raining' or 'maybe tomorrow'. What are you doing to keep excuses at bay?

Not much yet. I keep saying I am way too tired with full time work and mommy duties. My husband is away so I am doing it all. Good for you for planning!

I've been thinking most of this summer about how rubbish I am once it starts getting dark and dank. I'm hoping that the fact that this time around I have it in my head and the fact that I'll get a constant reminder from this site's members, that I won't be sticking to bad ways.

This week, I've bought lots of goodies for me and my bicycle.... new tyres, inner tubes, helmet etc... Cycle clothing comes next. The garden will soon no longer be tended too so cycling and swimming need to recommence.

I went out on my bike yesterday around sunset and it was doing that annoying kind of raining thing, couldn't tell if it was going to get really heavy or not. I noticed loads of people taking photos and looked where they were looking and saw the most amazing rainbow blending into a pink sunset. It stayed there just to the left of my vision all the way to my running club meetup. I'm planning to arm myself with that image every time I set out on a drizzly day now. Rain isn't always a grim experience :)
