I'm new here
Hi Mandy18,
i also am aiming to lose 100lb and tomorrow is my first weeks weigh in. I havent been too strict on myself but have stayed within my calorie limits. Im hoping the scales go down so fingers crossed. Good luck for tomorrow.
I have looked at your posts. I too downloaded couch to 5k, you have done better than me, I haven't tried it yet. You say you haven't got much support at home, perhaps we could help each other.
I havent figured out how i am going to break my weightloss down yet but one step at a time. Maybe target from 14 - 0 so it is just a number rather than weight.
I havent been out for a run yet ( weather and coming down with something. walking the dog has been a chore) so have decided to fix up the house until i get out there. I am aiming this week some point.
Yes, that is why i joined this site. It is so positive and is willing you on regardless. I like the fact that someone is in the same position as i am so dont feel alone. I will follow your progress. I am very competitive so that should help me along from time to time.
Again good luck for tomorrow.
Hi Mandy18
Welcome to the weight loss froum.
I have lost 73lbs up to now but still have a way to go. The best way to do it is break it down into small managable amounts like 7lbs at a time and that will help motivate you along the way. When you reach each small target reward yourself with a non-food reward.
Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.
Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.
Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.
Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.
We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

Hi. Welcome! Hope your first weighin goes well. I have lost 89lb since September but still want to lose about 4 or 5 stone more. Every stone you lose will feel so great so stay focused, you can do it!
Hi mandy18. Welcome to the club. My best wishes for your success.
Welcome Mandy18 - I also have a long road ahead - 18 stone and want to be 11 stone before I'm 47. This is a very friendly, collaborative place with many very knowledgeable and experienced people posting on a wide range of dieting issues. In short, you've come to the right place!
Good luck Mandy x
Hi Mandy18 and welcome to the forum. I have 84lbs to lose and have lost 11lbs in 6 weeks. I am following the NHS 12 week plan and it now feels good eating healthily after 30 odd years of various other plans. 7lb chunks is a great way to go rather than looking at the bigger picture. Good luck for tomorrow and continued success with your healthy eating. Keep in touch on the forum for lots of advice, tips and inspiration.
K
Good luck to you. Welcome!
