Sorry to hear that you still have to wait to get on the heart transplant list. Just focus for now on getting your BMI down and hopefully you will get on the waiting list.
Thanks for being such a great cheerleader...I need lots of them right now.
I like to plan ahead and consider all options. The state of play right now is I have only just started on the first of several steps I need to take before I get on the list. I am planning to keep losing weight while I work through all the medical stuff then hopefully things will come together
We all want you to succeed and have you here to become one of the maintainers to encourage all of us and the next new sign ups for many many years to come...
I'm sorry to hear that. I understand why they can't do a transplant on someone who's overweight, but it makes little sense to me that you can't be on the waiting list while you are losing weight. For once we won't be lecturing about not losing weight too fast. You have to get to healthy BMI fast and get on the list and then worry about the remaining bit. Good luck.
I come from a working background that doesn't deal with this type of nonsense lying down.
I would work out how much weight it would take to get below 30 BMI, divide that by 1.5 lbs to find out how many weeks it would take me (add a couple of extra weeks for 'good luck'). Then ring the 'people' that have told you that you can't be on a waiting list.
Two things... -- you're either going to be below 30 bmi before they're likely to call you up or if not then they can bump you back in the queue. They are putting your health at risk just so their stats don't show you being in a queue for too long... Grrrrr! (Not a happy grrrr either).
