Did any one see this programme last night? I thought it was so good and showed the huge problems faced by someone of her size. Her husband had really big issues too and I wonder if they will stay together. It made me cry to see her out with her friends at the end and I hope she goes on to lose more weight. What did you think to it?
Shut-in Britain's Fattest Woman Ch4 - Weight Loss Support
Shut-in Britain's Fattest Woman Ch4
I think the relationship between them was the saddest thing. When they married, she was perfect for him, because he was content to hide from the world and eat with her. She now has a life outside of those 4 walls and I fear she may leave him behind.
It would be nice to see a follow up in another two years, for people to see whether bariatric surgery is the answer to their problems. My fear is that she will continue to regain weight, because she still hadn't dealt with her eating issues, even though she was enjoying being slimmer.
I saw it too and think she's so determined and you can see how her life will just go up and up for her with her weight loss, she's missed so much. I really hope they stay together and he too gets help with his anxiety and weight issues. The last operation was amaIzing to watch seemed quite intrusive but she's has done so well since long may it continue.
I agree, the relationship was so sad. It was easy for him to live his life inside with her. When he had a huge plateful of food and she sat there with just a sausage I felt bad for her. Hopefully someone is educating her to eat healthy food as well as just less of it! When she was in the pool at the end I felt pleased those facilities exist. I think the NHS needs to spend money on that as well as the surgery - hopefully to prevent people needing the surgery.
I couldn't agree more, Ella! I think it's disgraceful that council run leisure centres are so expensive and beyond the means of so many that need those facilities!
I thought the relationship between them was terribly sad. I almost felt that he wanted her to fail after the first operation so that he wouldn't be left behind and thought he could have supported her more. After the second I felt he was more aware that he could loose her and was happy to make an effort to go out with her and was trusting enough to let her have her life and enjoy it with friends.
I truly hope she succeeds, but I think it is going to take an awful long time for her to come to term with her food issues, they are very deep rooted.
It would be lovely if they can work through their problems together and have a happy life.
Yes i watched it aswell and thought it was a really good programme. She had done really well to lose the weight that she had so far, i hope she carries on with it. I agree with moreless , it would be good to see a follow up programme in about 2 years time. I wondered exactly the same, whether the pair of them will still stay together and hopefully he will get help for his anxiety and weight issues also.
Hi Blackbeauty I also watched it today but still the end to see.
I had seen before, but only short clips.
I was impressed with the lady.
She is very brave person having two operations.
Be good now π
Hi George, hope your leg is better today and you're appointment went well this morning. It was a really good watch, let me know what you think of it when you have watched the rest of it. She certainly was brave having 2 operations.
You take care
The appointment went well and the nurse was ace,it was cutting in at the ankle.
OK now and comfortable.
I even have a soak in the bucket π
I'm going to take wee miss out doors for a ice cream, not for me though.ππ
What did you think to it George56 you said you were going to watch it - I only heard about it from you so thanks for mentioning it!
Hi Ella, I think I have seen before, I have watched it today, but not all.
I could see things going pear shaped when the lady was wanting all the chocolate before the plunge.
She did very well and brave having the surgery twice.
The husband could have supported her a lot better and more.
I have not seen the end as wee miss is in and Disney has priority π
I'm feeling a lot better today, leg dressing was cutting in, nothingβ unusual as it often does, A n E any problems.
Plus I will be going there on Monday morning.
Aberdeen in the afternoon for the sleep apnoea appointment.
Tuesday I will be back to Aberdeen, for the weight management team.
All good and I had a walk around today.
Mrs. H is poorly so I will be looking after her.
Sleeping just now, cold or flu. Came on about two days ago.
How was your day?
Busy I bet.
I wondered if it had been on before! See you at the weigh in. It's my turn to post. Trying to find a good motivational quote.
George56 was recording it to watch later and I'm watching it on catch up over the weekend πππ xx
Enjoy and we will catchup later.πΉ
Hubby has shown me how to turn the tv on π I don't watch it often π― and I'm all set to watch it tomorrow morning while he has to work π I'm looking forward to it, I'll let you know π xx
A very long time ago, my Nana had a TV, now Grandad being a bit old fashioned.
Decided that a black and white one would do, but little did he know π it was only the colour turned down.
So I showed Nan how to do this.π
I miss going to the movies with her.βΊοΈ
They were the best.
Enjoy your weekend πΉ
Oh I love it George, so funnyπ
Hi Lucigret how are you doing today?
We are just home from the shops.
Mrs. H is poorly today.
So it's wee miss & I on the case.
Got plenty fluid and lucazade.
Steak mince tatties with neep carrots and peas.
Wee miss was helpful so I got her a tub of chocolate chip and cookie ice cream. I never got though.
Got my leg seen this morning and I had the dressing changed.
So happy for this being done.
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for your support.
How did you get on today?
I'm being nosey ππΉπ
Oh George I went up by 1 1/4lbs, was trying something different this week, but back to the drawing board.
I am glad you got your leg seen to today. I expect it feels more comfortable now.
I hope Mrs H feels better soon. Well done wee Miss for helping out to get the meal today.
You enjoy your weekend too.
I'lll be checking in to see how you do tomorrowπ
πget well flowers for Mrs H.
I saw that programme
We don't have a tv connection (by choice) our tv is used for DVDs, games and a computer monitor.. looks good on the wall though!!
Woah - that's too much for me, I need a sit down!
I sit and watch a ππ₯ DVD at least twice a week on our πΊ Ornament hanging on the wall!! πππ
Sit down and take your time and hurry up!
Have a cup of tea. ππ
I mean I can't take Minniewinny telling me she doesn't have a tv
I thought that, he he. We have a in each room.
The main one is in the lounge.
The hub, and the parental in force, pin number as well.βΊοΈ
Sorry, I've never been a tv watcher..
And I've persuaded my hubby to ditch it.. he's ok with it now, but wouldn't let me cancel the license for a whole year until he had a year without watching it.. just in case!! He was then convinced it was ok. That was 3 years ago. Been married 6 & 1/2 years.
I do hear about programmes from workmates, but I've never watched soaps. I liked CSI and NCIS watched them on DVD.
How refreshing i gave up watching tv a few years ago so much better things to use your time on. Cant persuade hubby however but thats his choice people tend to think you are a bit strange so nice to hear your post . Enjoy your weekend
Who thinks who is strange? Do you mean Minniewinny ? Not watching tv isn't that common but apart from that minniewinny seems normal enough - as normal as the rest of us!
If you read my post i have put i have given up watching tv also and in my opinion people in general no one in particular think its strange if you havnt watched what was on tv the night before. So i was happy to hear someone else like me
Yes I saw it and thought she looked so lovely and happy at the end out with her friends π
Yes that's what we said it was so good to see her determination I laughed when she got her scooter
Could not survive without my TV I love it xx
We love you too π, have you been behaving today, or πππ? I'm okay today, Mrs H is poorly though, so we are looking after things.π
Enjoy your weekend and enjoy your evening.

The lady was really cool on the mobility scooter, and enjoying.
The happiness was plain to see.
Yes in the pub as wellππ
Her husband could do with a shave π I will watch the end later.
Or maybe from the start again.
Glad you got out doors today for your birthday.
Did you have a nice evening at the pub?
Mr. T will just have to carry you to bed tonight.ππππ X
I am so pleased for her, she looks really good π
Thought it sad that her husband had problems joining her - hope they manage to help him becoming more sociable. Looked as if they may be heading for divorce...
