Delicious brekkie alternative (may be controversial!)

Full fat cottage cheese 100g = 98 calories. Peaches (tinned, third of a tin, in juice rather than syrup) 65 cals.

That's 163 calories.

Yes, it sounds weird, but strangely quite delicious!

I am struggling with the idea of this... I will take your word for it I think!

Haa haa, a bit of a Marmite thing going on...... I have awful childhood memories of cottage cheese as it always seemed to feature on any diet. But the stuff seems to have improved from then....

Yes, that's nice, I could go with that easily 🙂 I always liked a piece of cheddar with strawberry jam, the sharpness with the sweetness.

Mmmmm, yes - turkey and cranberry, pork and apricot, etc!

You must have read my mind Pineapple27 I had a Tesco delivery today and as I was putting it away I had the cottage cheese in one hand and a can of peaches in the other and thought wow they would go well together, and what an easy breakfast to take to work tomorrow!

Very happy with the full-fat cottage cheese, lovely stuff. I just don't like tinned fruit. Maybe I would be able to cope with them if the cottage cheese is there. Worth thinking about!

Not weird at all! Cottage cheese+fruit or berries is my favourite breakfast :) Never tried it with canned fruit, though.

What an interesting combo. You can buy cottage cheese with pineapple in it, and I like that, so I would probably like this too, though maybe not for breakfast. I think you should give it a name!

Maybe crumble a wheatabix on the top and name it "tropical cheesecake brekkie" :)
