I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been so supportive to me (and my chunky knees), it means so much. So much so I feel confident enough now to leave Slimming World and stick to this forum. Will put that money towards a gym class. Did I really say that, wow, never thought I'd dare do that!
Am setting myself a personal challenge. It's 100 days till we go on holiday so I've even let my photo be taken, so I can see how I progress.
So today: Top half size 16, bottom half 18. Let's see how I get on!
Amazing, you look just like me....I too have size 16 top and size 18 hips and a rather tubbier middle than you....I'm in it with you...let's get these pounds gone!
It seems you're doing really well and I'm sure your confidence will get you where you want to be.
Having tried Slimming World myself last year, I decided to try my own calorie controlled diet this year and have now lost one and a half stone in nine weeks and dropped two dress sizes.
Half stones are my milestones as that seems more manageable and I need to lose another one and a half stones to reach my target.
Your photos look great and you have the right mindset to reach your goal. Good luck, I'm sure you will get to wear those shorts for your holiday, showing off well toned knees 😀
Wow that's a great weight loss, well done! At the end of the day it's me who's in control of the food i eat so whether I go and get weighed at SW or weigh myself at home shouldn't matter. I need to take responsibility for myself and stop blaming/making excuses if I slip off the wagon.
