I just wondered if anyone could clarify that if my calorie intake is say 1850 and I burn maybe 600 cals do I need to replace that back or ignore it , I'm not sure how it's supposed to work ??

If you use the calories you burn off then your weight loss will slow right down or even stop! You need to burn off more calories than you eat in order to lose any weight.

I wouldn't eat the calories you've burnt off you're likely to get more weight loss this way. And it is easy to miscalculate the calories you've burnt off and over eat as a result just think of them as a bonus towards your weight loss!

The only caveat I would add is that if you have a really active day, eat a little more to stop yourself dropping too low on calories. As an extreme example, when my OH did the marathon he was on 2000 calories a day and he burnt about that running, so his net calories were about 0 and his body still had to do other processes and keep him breathing!
