So today I was feeling a bit done in after having week long man flu so I bought a dirty kebab and chips. I've been eating so healthy lately but completely blew it tonight

You haven't blown it, the odd kebab and chips can still be part of your life. I think if we didnt have things we enjoy now and again it would be too hard. I am trying to think of this as a lifestyle change and if you never allow yourself something a bit dirty... then it is a diet not a lifestyle.

So maybe in your new lifestyle you can be proud that you make healthy choices most of the time and you enjoy yourself with a take away once in a while. I think that takes more strength than just blanket cutting it all out because you have to battle the - well I've blown it now - that I've fallen victim to before.

Hi,

Like the others who have replied... don't beat yourself up about it. We are all going to have off days when only 'comfort food' will do. The important thing is you have recognised that. Tomorrow is another day 😊.

We all need a little of what we fancy from time to time. Hope you enjoyed it. Don't feel guilty about it. Most of us do it from time to time.

Your post made me smile as I said to my hubby last night "I could just eat a dirty kebab" lol. It was too late so i ended up with a huge piece of cake, not quite as nice as a kebab but tons of calories. Yes i agree with all above replies, having something you fancy once in a while is fine, all of the time is whenn its a problem. My weight is coming off slowly but surely (20lbs so far) but i am still enjoying the odd treat and takeaway etc as i know i can continue with this way of life. Today is a new day, pick yourself up and carry on. Good luck x

Thanks everyone I'm just going to make treats a monthly thing. That way I can still have something I like but not as often as I used too 👍😀
