The Weekend

Well Saturday is here. Weekends can be hard. I am getting to know now why small goals are put into place with the help from you guys from the forum. I am going to be a sap now because without you guys I would not have been able to start to heal. I wished I met you all long ago. So no pop this weekend!!. Actually I want to go another week with that mini goal or more because I do not want to backfire in my mini goals of getting off sugar and make sure that I have nicked it in the butt before I try to work on my other sugar contents. slow and steady wins the race!!!

You are doing really well and small goals are the best to do as they are achievable and once you hit them then you can look at the next small goal to aim for

Onwards and downwards and all the best :)

HI Wadestreet,

Yes, slow and steady definitely wins the race, you're doing really well. :-) So happy to hear you're coping and that the weekend is a good one.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a great week ahead.

Lowcal :-)

Hi Lowcal I was wondering if I am ready to help other forum members. To help yourself you have to help others. I do not know if that is a saying or not just came in my head. I just want to ask your advice on that. Oh Today I am feeling less tired getting off the pop. I am working on another week on it.

Hi Wadestreet,

I don't feel I can really offer you advice on that - except to say that hopefully you will find that you can achieve a balance between meeting your needs and helping/meeting the needs of other people in your life - and that you'll be able to listen to your gut instinct about whether you feel able and willing to offer help to others, at any particular point in time. It can be great to encourage other people by responding to posts, and I love the fact that people do that in this community - it's a mutually supportive place.

I hope you'll achieve a good balance, so that you can be mindful and look after yourself, ensuring that you don't overdo things.

I don't know if that's helpful, but essentially there aren't really too many 'rules' concerning the choices we make in life - so you can hopefully do what feels right to yourself at any one moment in time, providing you're not hurting yourself or someone else, and you can always change your mind on something, if you decide it's not the right thing for you.

I am so pleased that you're finding you've got more energy - that is really great. :-)

Hope this week goes really well.

Lowcal :-)

I am glad I received your message. You came up with things I never would of thought of . Maybe I am not ready just yet. It's only been a month since joining the forum. Maybe what I will do is just read over the peoples posts and just get a feel of what they are about. And when I have more experience under my belt and then I will tell them about my experience and hope I will help others in their journey . Enjoy rest of your weekend and I do value your opinion. Thanks

Although you've recently become far more optimistic over your own position, through the advice, support and encouragement received, there's certainly no requirement to ask for permission when attempting to offer others the same.

If you happen to read something that 'strikes a cord' with your own personal experiences or struggles, simply seek to offer words of encouragement.

While you may not possess all the answers, by demonstrating a sense of understanding and appreciation for what they may be going through, your words will hopefully provide the comfort sought, thus, allowing optimism to prevail.
